[Music Talk Talk] WINNER’s longevity, still going strong
More than two months have passed but there are no signs of them coming down from the top of the charts. Group WINNER continues their endless longevity.
WINNER made their comeback as 4 members on April 4th at 4PM. They displayed incredible strength with their double title tracks “REALLY REALLY” and “FOOL”, they achieved #1 on music charts, and recorded 5 music show crowns.
On top of this, WINNER received love from overseas as they made #1 on the iTunes Album Chart in 25 countries and got featured on Apple Music’s “Best of the Week”.
Above anything, WINNER is worthy of close attention for their continuous popularity even now, when the season has changed since their album release. WINNER’s “REALLY REALLY” recorded 7th place on the Mnet music chart on the 8th (today).
They are at 11th on genie and 13th on MelOn. This is a much higher rank compared to singers who have made recent comebacks. Despite all the comebacks of digital monsters, WINNER continues to truly live up to their name.
WINNER’s longevity is thanks to the power of a good song and their active promotions. WINNER experienced crisis with a member leaving during their hiatus but they did not become shaken as they poured their heart and soul into making music.
This resulted in WINNER self-producing a song of brilliant quality and they were able to catch and hold onto the heart of the public for a long time. Additionally, they are in the middle of the most active promotions they have ever had with YG Entertainment giving them full support.
Representative Producer Yang Hyunsuk happily predicted WINNER’s longevity in May on an SNS post with the caption “Looks like a long run” when “REALLY REALLY” rose on the charts.
Although 10 weeks have passed since their comeback, WINNER continues on their upward climb. It looks as though their tireless run will continue for some time. One has to wonder how much more love WINNER will receive.
